What it is

Retatrutide is a triple-agonist peptide medication, meaning it activates three hormone receptors at once:

* GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1)

* GIP (glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide)

* Glucagon receptor

These hormones are involved in:

* Appetite control

* Blood sugar regulation

* Energy expenditure (calorie burning)

What it’s designed to do

Because it targets three pathways, retatrutide aims to:
